| Next step is sorting out some wide velcro for when we start on the carpet, noticed last night that they had vecro on all of their trunking and it seemed to stick to the carpet very well. If any one can get hold of as much as possible for as cheap as possible then let paul or me know, cheers. | |

 | Subject: Is it what you've always wanted? Sun Aug 12, 2007 1:50 am | |
| Well we have all been asked at NRCCV enough times in the past to run on carpet and run every week. Now we are moving to a New larger venue we will be racing every Wednesday on carpet, is this what you've always wanted? Lets find out.
- Is racing on carpet what you have always wanted?
- Do you think moving to a New, larger venue is a good idea?
- Will you prefer the new track size of 18m x14m?
- Will you also prefer parking in a purpose built car park with ample lighting and security cameras?
- Will the new time of 6.30pm to 10.30pm be better or worse?
- We will be changing from a Venue to a Club like 99% of all the other clubs. Good or not?
- Will you enjoy racing against other drivers from other clubs who have already expressed an interest in coming to the new Venue?
I have to answer YES to all the above, just because it makes sense. What do you all think? | |

| i think for the club to progress we had to find a bigger venue and run on carpet.most racers are equiped for carpet racing and a change of surface means more cost and more time (different tyres, different set-up) which a lot of people dont have.to generate the income we need to buy equipment(transponders, loop, etc) we need to draw more people through the door .the bigger winter comps all run on carpet so racers are looking to practice on carpet.and a bigger track is good.make the transition to racing at rug racers/carpet wars easier. regarding times,4 races a night is the norm people expect . | |
