Great news of a great new venue.

The big announcement was finally made last night at racing and I think we are all in agreement that by moving to a bigger and better venue will be a brilliant way forward for the venue.
The venue as it is currently known will have to change name. We will be known as GMCC and will become a club and not a venue anymore.
This is so we can charge a yearly membership fee as all other clubs do so we can generate more funds for the club and all the money will be re-invested into the club with the purchase of transponders being our first priority purchase.
We will race every Wednesday night from 7.00pm to 10.30pm which should prove popular as there will be no gap weeks without any racing.
Racing will be on Prima GT carpet and the track size will be 18m long by 14m wide, considerally larger than where we currently race and bigger than any other club in the immediate area. Tyres will be an open choice of Schumacher carpet dragons, vtec 24 r or foams, foams probally being the choice of most.
More information will be released as soon as we have finalised all of the details with the hall providers. There is a possibilty that the first meeting will not be on carpet but polished floor if we do not get it in time but this would be the last time that we would do so. There is a lot to do when racing on carpet i.e. putting the carpet down and tapping it together, but putting it away is where the time is taken up so there will only be time for 3 heats and finals for all, and no stopping for chats or messing about.
We want this new venue to be a success, not for ourselves but for everyone that races there, so we would like as much help as possible form everyone who races there.
