A lot of people have been asking me latley how to gear motors for certain tracks. Well the best way to gear your car is by the lenght of the straight. To do this you should be at full speed by the time you are past 3/4 of the length of the straight. This should then give you the wright accellerarion through the infield. It's a good starting point for when you go to tracks were you have no idea of the ratio's for certain motors. Failing that just ask the locals, but try to ask someone in the top heat as they normally no the best ratios for most motors and dont normally lie in my experience. Then you should only have the driving to worry about and the motor going bang. Hope this was of help to someone out there.

Until next time:

Hard to say exactley but you should be at full speed after 50 -55 feet.
I would probally try 9.40 as a starting point and then go 1 tooth either way for more top end a bigger pinion for more accelleration one tooth lower.
