same track,same motor,etc.would the gearing be identical for different capacity cells.ie 4200/3700

Yep, keep the gearing the same as you have been advised to use in the past as this is the correct gearing, you will notice a lot of difference once you go up to 4200 from 3700 especially if they are new ones.
